Do you have a cancellation policy?
Yes. If you no-show or cancel your appointment within 24 hours, you will be charged $75 to the card provided when you book an appointment. If your card declines, you cannot book an appointment until the cancellation fee is paid.
If you no-show your appointment on 2 consecutive occurrences, you will be discharged from the practice.
The cancellation policy is agreed upon when you book an appointment.
Skin
What do I have to do to prepare for an IPL?
No tanning/sun exposure for 7 days. If you are too tan, your treatment may need to be postponed.
On average, how many Tattoo removal sessions does it take to reduce the appearance of a Tattoo?
Generally, 6-12 sessions. Blue, Red, Yellow, and Green colors are the hardest to treat and will take more sessions than normal to lighten.
How do I know if I am a good candidate for Laser Hair Removal?
If you have dark, coarse hair you’re a good candidate for laser hair removal. Our laser does not treat red, white, or grey hair.
What do I need to do to prepare for Laser Hair Removal?
Be sure to avoid any sun exposure and self-tanning products for a full 7 days before your treatment. If treating the face, avoid use of any active skincare products such as chemical and physical exfoliants, retinols etc. for 48 hours. Shave the area thoroughly 12-24 hours before your treatment, and avoid any waxing, tweezing, or threading during your treatment package.
How do I choose between the Express, Signature, and Luxe facial?
Generally, we recommend each new patient to start with a Signature facial, as this allows us time to discuss your treatment plan and provide a full treatment. If you’re looking for a deep cleanse, +/- extractions, and skin analysis, book the Express facial. If you’re looking for a luxurious, relaxing facial including massage, book the Luxe! Our Signature and Luxe facial include either the DiamondGlow or Glo2 facial (microdermabrasion).
What do I need to do to prepare for a facial or skin treatment?
We recommend stopping the use of active skincare products (chemical and/or physical exfoliants, retinols, etc.) about 48 hours before your treatment. Come with a clean face to your facial. If you do come with a full face of makeup, we have a face washing station.
How do I know if the Acne Bootcamp is right for me?
f you struggle with acne of any kind, and you’re ready to clear it, the acne bootcamp is right for you. The Face Reality Acne Bootcamp is designed to treat all forms of acne.
How do I prepare for my Acne Bootcamp consultation?
Stop use of any active skincare products 48 hours before your consultation to prepare for sensitivity testing. Come makeup free to your consultation, and bring a list of your current skincare products, medications, etc.
What does the Acne Bootcamp involve?
The Acne Bootcamp will involve biweekly (every 2 week) acne treatments with your acne expert, as well as an extensive home care routine designed for your skin. As well as access to your acne expert for all questions and concerns.
Injectables
What do I do if I don’t know where to start or have a million questions?
Book a free consultation. Consultations allow our providers to come up with an individualized treatment plan. If you book a consultation for skin or cosmetic injectables, you will not receive same day treatment.
What do I do if I’ve never been to your practice before, but want same day treatment?
Book the service you are interested in. Our providers perform consultations in every appointment prior to treatment.
What do I need to do to prepare for my filler appointment?
- Stop the use of NSAIDS (Advil, Motrin, Ibuprofen, Aleve) and Alcohol 48 hours prior to your appointment to minimize the risk of bruising.
- Consider taking Arnica tablets 48 hours prior to your appointment to minimize bruising. You can find them OTC in your local drug store or Wegmans.
- Let your provider know if you are on blood thinners, have a history of cold sores, OR have a history of Autoimmune disease. If you have a history of cold sores, your provider can send a prescription to your pharmacy, called Valacyclovir, prior to your appointment to minimize your chances of getting a cold sore.
- Come with a clean face to your appointment if you are scheduled for full face fillers.
Are there any restrictions after my Botox appointment?
- You must sit upright for 4 hours (don’t lie flat).
- No exercise for 24 hours.
- No hats for 4 hours.
- No flying on an airplane for 24 hours.
- No Microneedling or Laser facials for 2 weeks.
Are there any restrictions after my filler appointment?
- No straws for 7 days. Use a new lip balm or chapstick for 48 hours. (Lip filler)
- No exercise for 48 hours.
- Avoid NSAIDS (Advil, Motrin, Ibuprofen, Aleve) for 48 hours.
- Ice as needed for the first 6-8 hours to minimize swelling and bruising.
- No makeup for 12 hours after full face fillers.
- Consider changing your pillowcase to minimize bacterial contamination.
- We love our pets but avoid kisses from our animals on or around areas that were injected for 48 hours.
How soon can I have a touch up after my Botox/Dysport appointment?
Per our policy, we advise to wait 2 weeks from your Botox/Dysport appointment for touch ups.
